Personal Power in the Workplace

I coach and mentor people who have a variety of workplace issues. Some are executives seeking the next step, some are mid-level managers who are expanding their sphere of influence.

The common theme is feeling as though others are better at the "corporate gamesmanship" than they are. It's a sinking feeling to think that your best "interpersonal" skills, your job skillset is not enough to win at the corporate (or academic, government, etc.) game.

Dynamic Transitioners are prepared for these professional expansion periods and know how to handle the "problem" people in their path. The spiritual message about problem people in your life is that they are there for you to "bless and then release" them; or they are there to teach you something about yourself.

Think about a personality conflict you are currently having. If the other person is truly toxic to you, you'll want to release them quickly. The more you criticize, condemn, resent them, the stronger the ties between you. Or, you may want to think, "Is there something I should be learning from this person? Who does this person remind me of in my life outside the workplace? What do I need to learn from that person?"
