Harmonious thinking brings prosperity and health

Harmonious thinking is uplifted thinking. Many people who are in poor health or worry over financial problems (and often they're one in the same) would be advised to learn how to develop harmonious thinking.

Lack of harmony brings on bickering, quarreling and general confusion. The ability to free yourself from these inner hostilities, resentments, and irritated emotions is like magic - it leads you to true relationships with yourself and those around you.

If you are out of harmony with anyone because of the past or present; if you feel that you have been robbed of the happiness you deserve; if you feel your unhappy childhood and family experiences caused you undue suffering - you may feel you have every reason for your feelings and for continuing to feed them. But your health, prosperity, happiness, and peace of mind will be destroyed in the process by holding on to these negative emotions. When you feed negative emotions, they grow. When you feed positive ones, they grow. The choice is yours.

You need to forgive and release these feelings forever. You will be doing yourself the biggest service of your life by releasing each and every one of these old memories. Mentally picture yourself in complete harmony with those who "harmed" you and you will be free. Mentally picture yourself in perfect health, abundant prosperity, and eternal happiness and watch your life improve. Form these pictures in your mind and hold to them. You are then releasing your faith to go to work in a simple but supreme way to produce harmonious results.

It works. A wise friend passed this on to me years ago and it works like a charm. Give yourself these treatments often to bring you the harmonious results you desire.

Retreat

Religious/spiritual retreats allow time for reflection, prayer, or meditation. They are considered essential in Buddhism[1], and are also popular in many Christian churches, including evangelical Protestants, Roman Catholics and Anglicans. The term retreat has several related meanings, all of which have in common the notion of safety or temporarily removing oneself from one's usual environment. A retreat can be taken for reasons related to spirituality, stress, health, lifestyle, or social or ecological concerns. Increasingly, organizations hold retreats to focus board and staff members on key issues such as strategic planning, enhancing communication and collaboration, problem-solving and creative thinking. Wiki

My husband and I just returned from a couple's retreat we attend every year. We go to a beautiful place nestled in the Santa Ynez mountains in Southern California. We really enjoy the couples, the environment, the quiet, the time together.

I am grateful for the renewing and unfolding of my inner life that occurs during retreat weekends. It helps maintain a wholeness in my mind, body, and affairs. I encourage you to retreat from your daily life now and then and focus on your inner life. See yourself producing and receiving health, plenty, and peace in your life and the lives of those around you. If disappointment tries to sidetrack you along the way, meet it as best you can and just keep going. Learn from the present situations and return your vision on the picture of health, plenty and peace.

Acres of Diamonds

In 1915 a Baptist minister named Dr. Russell Conwell became very famous because of one lecture, called the Acres of Diamonds lecture, which he gave all over the United States. He used proceeds from that lecture to found Temple University in Philadelphia.

In the lecture, Dr. Conwell says this:
I say you ought to be rich. You have no right to be poor. To live and not be rich is a misfortune and it is doubly a misfortune because your could have been rich just as well as being poor. What does this mean?

You must open your mind to the possibilities...not to get God to GIVE you anything, but to understand what it is to be open to receive. This is an interesting idea to work with.
The Law of Attraction says that we attract that which we give thought to. If we think about lack, failure, illness, we will attract those things. If we think about abundance, success, health, we will attract those things to us just as easily. You can feed the white dog in your mind, or the black dog. The choice is yours.

You are prosperous to the degree that you are experiencing peace, health, harmony, financial success. Many people are afraid to include money in their prosperity work. They say that prosperity is "more than money". I believe this is true, but what's wrong with money? Money has spiritual energy and is a means of exchanging love and service with those about you.

An important part of opening your mind to receive is to deliberately open your mind to the idea that money is spiritual and that money is part of your spiritual heritage. Money gives you freedom and freedom is a necessity for spiritual growth.

The Power of Forgiveness

Recently there was a terrible series of murders of little girls in Amish Country. The nation was shocked.
I was deeply moved by the comments the Amish people said about forgiving the murderer.
From Wikipedia:Most world religions include teachings on the nature of forgiveness, and many of these teachings provide an underlying basis for the varying modern day theories and practices of forgiveness. Instances of teachings on forgiveness such as the parable of the Prodigal Son[1] and Mahatma Gandhi's forgiveness of his assassin as he lay dying, are well known instances of such teachings and practices of forgiveness. Some religious doctrines or philosophies place greater emphasis on the need for humans to find some sort of divine forgiveness for their own shortcomings, others place greater emphasis on the need for humans to practice forgiveness between one another, yet others make little or no distinction between human and/or divine forgiveness.
Forgiveness has been a powerful force in my life. I learned that an unforgiving attitude toward God, man, myself, or the world in general only binds me to theses grudges, prejudices, and bitterness. Forgiveness is the only way to dissolve that link and be free.
Forgiveness is not just saying, "I'm sorry" when you're not. Forgiveness is an inner act that leaves you at peace with yourself and others.
Acts of forgiveness first bring peace of mind to the forgiver. Speaking words of forgiveness often turns the tide on painful situations and seeks to re-establish harmony with those around you. We saw a powerful example of forgiveness from the Amish community recently. It's something for all of us to contemplate and strive for.
