Mental Accpetance of the Good You Want

Often people learn about the Laws of Attraction and the power of thought and rush off trying to bring to pass things that they have not really mentally accepted. Even if they get what they want in the short term, they won't be able to keep it.

Oftentimes, gradual success is more lasting because it leads to subconscious acceptance over a period of time. Lasting success is a progressive success - not necessairly a flash flood of overnight wealth or fame.

You must be able to mentally accept good and able to release the limitations of the past. Can you do it? Can you let go of old patterns of living or are you still attached to a belief in lack or illness? Do you gain satisfaction from pitying yourself if you have financial or health problems>

Much that passes for disease is actually man's attempt to escape life's responsibilities. Do you want to be healthy and enjoy a good life? Life demands much of healthy people.

Take the good from each experience and let the rest go. If you hold on to resentment, hate, unforgiveness, criticism, you will bog down in hard experiences indefinitely. Stop saying that you have a hard time in life. Who hasn't? Stop talking about unhappy experiences. Stop manipulating sympathy from anyone who will listen. This just keeps you ties to those experiences.

When you can finally let go, your progress into a happy life will be fast and certain. Take the good from your experiences and leave the rest. And then get ready to watch the life you really want begin to blossom.

How to learn from mistakes

Many a success have been built upon an apparent failure. Everyone makes mistakes and many people beat themselves up over the mistakes of the past. Do you cling to your mistakes, hold them to you, clasp them in your arms? I want you to let them go and know that they were only misunderstood experiences which could still bring good.

Instead of of labeling those experiences as mistakes, rename them success and know that something good can still come from those experiences.

One way to handle apparent mistakes in your life is to give them the light touch. Instead of attacking your problems like a fierce winter storm, remind yourself that is the light touch of a warm spring breeze that dissipates the snow.

As long as you hold onto your mistakes, magnify them, and feed them with the attention of your thoughts, they will be with you and will continue to GROW in your life. Stop dramatizing your difficulties. Stop talking about them. Release them and take hold of your thinking. Deliberately think, "I cannot recapture the past, but I have right now and all the "right nows" ahead. This experience has come to teach me something good I need to know, so I accept the good from it and all else fades away."

Give your mistakes the light touch and look for the hidden kernel of "good" within what seemed a negative experience.

Gaining Inner Strength

Often when youhave struggled until you feel you cannot go on is when your good begins to appear. Your struggles were not wasted. The work was being done in the invisible.

In fact, sometimes defeat helps you gain an inner strength you may need later. When you try to overcome a problem and do not succeed, you have not failed. You are gaining inner strength through your repeated efforts which you will need later.

Remember, nothing can hold you in bondage or oppose your good. Think of yourself as an overcomer who accomplishes great things with ease.

You will transition into the knowledge that you have taken a step toward your desired goal. When you take enough steps you will step right into it.

When your world is rocked

"Rock my world" is a common phrase young people use that means something good is happening to them. How true!

Someone very wise talks about the Process of Chemicalization. Chemicalization occurs when your old ideas, old beliefs, and old way of life tries to hold on, while a new and better way of thinking and living is trying to appear. Your world is literally ROCKED.

I was talking with a friend today who is experiencing this first hand. Her attitude and view on life is undergoing a profound change. She's noticed that the things that used to annoy her are fading away. That sounds like good news, right? In her case, she started questioning, "If this (old beliefs) fades away, what defines me?" Doubting yourself can indeed ROCK YOUR WORLD.

Don't worry. This is very common when undergoing massive transition and transformation. Old beliefs - good and bad - are questioned, examined, and often left behind. Why? You may be outgrowing those old beliefs and the no longer serve you.

As your views begin to change, your world is rocked and many times you seem to temporairly loose your footing. When the rocking is over, your world view will be entirely different. Chemicalization means that things are working out better than ever before. And those old ideas that you held dear may have been holding you back!

You are experiencing a mental, emotional, and perhaps even physical "spring cleaning". How free and unburdened you will be when your old, limiting beliefs no longer hold you back.

Embrace this "rocking" as one of the greatest things you will ever experience. Gradually, you will clear up dominant negative thought patterns that used to control you and the "rocking" won't seem so disturbing. In fact, when your world IS rocked, you'll know you're in a Dynamic Transition!

The Golden Rule in your daily life

I came across this article at ZenHabits and thought that Dynamic Transitioners would enjoy it:

“…thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.”, Leviticus 19:18 It’s true: the rule of treating others as you would want to be treated in their place will ultimately lead to your own happiness.

Practice empathy. Make it a habit to try to place yourself in the shoes of another person. Any person. Loved ones, co-workers, people you meet on the street. Really try to understand, to the extent that you can, what it is like to be them, what they are going through, and why they do what they do.
  1. Practice compassion. Once you can understand another person, and feel what they’re going through, learn to want to end their suffering. And when you can, take even a small action to somehow ease their suffering in some way.
  2. How would you want to be treated? The Golden Rule doesn’t really mean that you should treat someone else exactly as you’d want them to treat you … it means that you should try to imagine how they want to be treated, and do that. So when you put yourself in their shoes, ask yourself how you think they want to be treated. Ask yourself how you would want to be treated if you were in their situation. John F. Kennedy did that during the controversial days of de-segregation in the 1960s, asking white Americans to imagine being looked down upon and treated badly based only on the color of their skin. He asked them to imagine how they would want to be treated if they were in that situation, and act accordingly towards the blacks.
  3. Be friendly. When in doubt, follow this tip. It’s usually safe to be friendly towards others. Of course, there are times when others just don’t want someone acting friendly towards them, and you should be sensitive to that. You should also be friendly within the bounds of appropriateness. But who doesn’t like to feel welcome and wanted?
  4. Be helpful. This is probably one of the weaknesses of our society. Sure, there are many people who go out of their way to be helpful, and I applaud them. But in general there is a tendency to keep to yourself, and to ignore the problems of others. Don’t be blind to the needs and troubles of others. Look to help even before you’re asked.
  5. Be courteous in traffic. Another weakness of our society. There are few times when we are as selfish as when we’re driving. We don’t want to give up the right of way, we cut people off, we honk and curse. Perhaps it’s the isolation of the automobile. We certainly don’t act that rude in person, most of the time. So try to be courteous in traffic.
  6. Listen to others. Another weakness: we all want to talk, but very few of us want to listen. And yet, we all want to be listened to. So take the time to actually listen to another person, rather than just wait your turn to talk. It’ll also go a long way to helping you understand others.
  7. Overcome prejudice. We all have our prejudices, whether it’s based on skin color, attractiveness, height, age, gender … it’s human nature, I guess. But try to see each person as an individual human being, with different backgrounds and needs and dreams. And try to see the commonalities between you and that person, despite your differences.
  8. Stop criticism. We all have a tendency to criticize others, whether it’s people we know or people we see on television. However, ask yourself if you would like to be criticized in that person’s situation. The answer is almost always “no”. So hold back your criticism, and instead learn to interact with others in a positive way.
  9. Don’t control others. It’s also rare that people want to be controlled. Trust me. So don’t do it. This is a difficult thing, especially if we are conditioned to control people. But when you get the urge to control, put yourself in that person’s shoes. You would want freedom and autonomy and trust, wouldn’t you? Give that to others then.
  10. Be a child. The urge to control and criticize is especially strong when we are adults dealing with children. In some cases, it’s necessary, of course: you don’t want the child to hurt himself, for example. But in most cases, it’s not. Put yourself in the shoes of that child. Remember what it was like to be a child, and to be criticized and controlled. You probably didn’t like it. How would you want to be treated if you were that child?
  11. Send yourself a reminder. Email yourself a daily reminder (use Google Calendar or memotome.com, for example) to live your life by the Golden Rule, so you don’t forget.
  12. Tie a string to your finger. Or give yourself some other reminder throughout the day so that you don’t forget to follow the Golden Rule in all interactions with others. Perhaps a fake golden ring on your keychain? A tattoo? :)
  13. Post it on your wall or make it your home page. The Golden Rule makes a great mantra, and a great poster.
  14. Rise above retaliation. We have a tendency to strike back when we’re treated badly. This is natural. Resist that urge. The Golden Rule isn’t about retaliation. It’s about treating others well, despite how they treat you. Does that mean you should be a doormat? No … you have to assert your rights, of course, but you can do so in a way where you still treat others well and don’t strike back just because they treated you badly first. Remember Jesus’ wise (but difficult to follow) advice: turn the other cheek.
  15. Be the change. Gandhi famously told us to be the change we want to see in the world. Well, we often think of that quote as applying to grand changes, such as poverty and racism and violence. Well, sure, it does apply to those things … but it also applies on a much smaller scale: to all the small interactions between people. Do you want people to treat each other with more compassion and kindness? Then let it start with you. Even if the world doesn’t change, at least you have.
  16. Notice how it makes you feel. Notice how your actions affect others, especially when you start to treat them with kindness, compassion, respect, trust, love. But also notice the change in yourself. Do you feel better about yourself? Happier? More secure? More willing to trust others, now that you trust yourself? These changes come slowly and in small increments, but if you pay attention, you’ll see them.
  17. Say a prayer. There is a prayer on the Golden Rule, attributed to Eusebius of Caesarea, that would be worth saying once a day. It includes the following lines, among others: “May I gain no victory that harms me or my opponent.
May I reconcile friends who are mad at each other.
May I, insofar as I can, give all necessary
help to my friends and to all who are in need.
May I never fail a friend in trouble.”

Point #7 To Thine Own Self Be True

”This above all: to thine ownself be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.”
-Shakespeare-Hamlet

Dynamic Transitioning Point # 7 To Thine Own Self Be True

The power of SELF TRUTH. We come full circle. We started with knowing yourself - you cannont be true to yourself if you don't know who you are. Your integrity has been defined through this journey. Your value is clear. You want a purposeful life. A LIFE FULL OF PURPOSE. Be true to your values, religion or spiritual practice. Be true to your family and friends. Be true to your professional ethics. Be true to your purpose. Be true to your possibilities. Be true to your social responsibilities. Be true to your financial well-being.

How do you be true to yourself, your values, ethics, possibilities? We began at Point # 1, Know Thyself. When I mention this to groups I speak to, most people nod their heads as I talk about knowing yourself. But it is not as easy as it sounds. We are all very complex. There are layers of our personalities and abilities; our likes and dislikes; our values and ethics; our strengths and weaknesses; our divine gifts; our "cross to bear", and on and on.

Knowing yourself requires self-honesty. It's one thing to be brutally honest with someone about THEM and quite another to tell yourself the truth about YOU. Let's start with the 7 deadly sins of pride, anger, envy, gluttony, procrastination, sloth and greed. How do you stack up in each of these areas?

And what about your good traits? Do you know what they are and how to call on them in any given situation? Friendship, love, generosity, tolerance, patience? Do you know what your divine gifts are, i.e., talents for music, teaching, physical fitness, nursing, law?

How are you under pressure? How do you perform when it's inconvenient to you to show up for someone or work an extra day?

Knowing these things and more about yourself help you identify your personal values and character. Upon knowing this, you can then strive to remain true to it. I invite you to review the Dynamic Transitioning 7 Point Program as a helpful tool.

The Brand YOU

Many of you know I teach at UCLA. We just completed the Spring 2007 semester of International Marketing. It was a great group of students and it turns out I have really found a home in teaching. It is now part of my brand, my identity. I chose teaching as a venue to give back to the community. I've had the opportunity to learn alot in my life and I want to share it with others. I mentor students and have helped students get into Business School and get great jobs. It's very rewarding.

In class, we spend quite a bit of time discussing branding. There was a book out a few years ago called The Brand You by Tom Peters. It's a great concept. Tom talks about performing a personal brand equity evaluation every so often as a means of finding out what you're marketability is in your professional life.

The word of Tom's day was "reinvention". I call it "transitioning". Both concepts start with Know Thyself, and, in fact, that's what the brand equity evaluation is all about. You must have a baseline understanding of who and what you are and what you stand for. Then you can go about revolutionizing your portfolio of skills every few years to keep the Brand You meaningful to the marketplace.

So starting today you are a brand. You're every bit as much a brand as the iPod, Red Bull, Coke, or Starbucks. Brand managers at those companies ask this question of their brands: What is it that my product or service does that makes it different and unique? What is the promise of my brand?

I want you to do the same. What do YOU represent - in the workplace, at home, in your community, in your spiritual life? What is your promise? What is your committment? Write down words that come to you as the beginning of your journey in Knowing Yourself. It's fun and it's useful. And contact me at beverlymacy@gmail.com if you'd like some coaching in this area. I've got tons of experience to share and would love to help.

Your Highest and Your Best

I was talking with a friend last night at dinner about what we mean when we talk about tuning in to your highest and your best. The Law of Attraction is very important and there's been lots of focus on it lately. But it is only one part of the picture.

There are numerous other Universal Laws at work all the time - laws that one can access, and many do. Then there is what is often referred to as "God's Will", or "Fate", "Karma", etc. - the idea that you are NOT able to affect the outcome because it is somehow predetermined.

How does one reconcile these two seemingly opposing forces. Suppose you have your heart set on a particular job and you practice the Law of Attraction on getting that job. You picture yourself in the position, with the salary you asked for, with a terrific boss, etc. You ARE that job in your mental state. You ARE putting it out there into the Universe to manifest for you.

A week later, after all the interviews, the calls back and forth, etc., you receive the message that...you didn't get the job. Does the Law of Attraction not work? After all, you did everything right and yet, the final outcome didn't go your way.

What's going on here? It is very important to realize that there is a higher force at work at all times. I believe that this higher force is loving and wants only the best for each of us. Perhaps this higher force is gently turning your attention to something higher and better than what you "want". For this reason, you will want to remember that you are a spiritual being with a divine plan in this life.

In addition to tuning in to the specifics of what you want and invoking the Law of Attraction, remember to also dwell upon the idea of a divine plan of your life and you will be guided to the ideas, opportunities, people and situations that help you fulfill your highest and best. Dwelling on your divine plan also helps to clear out the wrong people, ideas, and situations that are not right for you and which do not belong to you.

Sometimes the NO you receive is the loving hand of your higher source taking care of you and preparing you for better. And remember, what you fight to get, you must fight to keep.

Transitioning out of debt

Are you facing financial strain right now? Are you in debt or are you owed money? What about debt is part of your spiritual transition?

Someone I resepct greatly says that resentment and fear cause indebtedness because such an attitude causes the debt to be a burden. Money has a 'divine' flow and needs to be in circulation. You give, you get, you pass it on. Money becomes charged with the energy you put on it. If you begin to think of a burden the flow stops. When the flow of money and it's equivalent is halted, panic and resentment take over.

Look up and be provided for. Uplifted thinking, free of fear, resentment, and comdenation, is necessary to maintain a debt-free existence. When you live in discord and criticism money seems to be repelled and quickly dissipates.

Become harmonious in your thoughts and language and overcome indebtedness. The greatest barriers to freedom are fear and desperation. Focus on gratitude and send thoughts of financial wholeness to those you do business with or those you owe money to and you will be amazed at how quickly the debts are repaid.

Recently, someone owed my a fairly large sum of money for work I did. The company was in the process of raising capital and the accounts receivable got backed up. I turned to this idea to resist the fear: This debt exists because the two partners extended trust to each other. Trust is divine and it produces divine results when it's active. I am grateful for the trust that brought about the financial transaction in the first place. And that same trust which worked in the beginning can still work and bring forth the payment.

Life doesn't punish, it teaches

As you develop your mental strength...as you learn more about the Law of Attraction and use it in you life....you will begin to realize that you still face mistakes, challenges, and setbacks. Why?

If tuning into the positive side of life, if working on developing your inner strength, if understanding how to use the new resources you've discovered has reaped wonderful benefits, why does life seem to still contain these so-called "negative" experiences?

There is no defeat, but there may be postponement. It is when you meet disappointment constructively that you break through to your greater good. This is really good news. Many of you are using The Secret and other tools, in addition to Dynamic Transitioning, to strengthen your spiritual awarness and produce results in your life. I applaud you! The Universe applauds you!

It turns out that you get practice out of challenging experiences. Sometimes these experiences offer a way to grow up and out of the rut you may have been in. You are offered the opportunity to use all the new thinking and energy you have learned from The Secret, from Dynamic Transitioning, to face and conquer challenging experiences.

In fact, you can say to those experiences, "I thank you for coming into my life. I have learned all there is to learn from this experience and I bid it farewell." Give it the light touch and literally see it vanish up into the sky. It works!

Life gives us exactly what we order mentally. That may sound unbeliveable, but it is true. If you are experiencing hard conditions right now, consciously or unconsciously, you have created the situation on another plane. Do not resent those conditions. You need to thank that condition for helping you grow and wish it well on it's way out of your life.

Know also that every lost thing can be restored or compensated for in the course of your growth. Know that you are equipped to meet every hard condition of life. Don't fight it. Ask it what you need to learn, give it the light touch, and know that you can overcome anything in life and find your better self and greater good.

Change your words, change your world

If you want to change your world, begin to change the words you speak. The spoken word is powerful and seems to form definite results by manifesting that on the invisible plane to the visible.

You are familiar with affirmations. You are "making firm" your thoughts and desires. It is important to compliment your spiritual study and reading of inspirational books by speaking forth affirmations. Reading about prosperity, spiritual advancement, love, and abundance isn't enough. It is the spoken word that brings it to you.

Why are words powerful? Looking back for centuries there seems to be an understanding about the dynamics of sound. Thins of "Om", Gregorian chants, mantras. These words stir up vibratory forces that set up in the invisible to produce results in the visible.

Words have power and you begin to attract what you give voice to. If you say, "I'd give my right arm to have the wealth he has" - you might just literally lose your right arm. If you continually say, "I'm broke", "I'm tired", "I'm depressed" it WILL become true.

You change your world by changing your words. First you must pay attention to what you are saying. Your casual words are just as powerful as the "formal" affirmations you may be using. If you casually say, "Oh, there's no way I'll get that job" you probably won't.

If you say, "Things are always getting better" - lo and behold they DO get better!

Try this for two weeks. Everyday say, "Things are getting better for me financially and my income will increase" and watch what happens. It's fun and easy. Or this, "Things are getting better for me personally and my social life will increase".

Insert whatever you want to increase and have fun with it! Know that it is absolutely true that you can change your world by changing your words.

The Master Mind Principle

I am a big believer in using all resources at your disposal. I love The Secret and the materials available there. I also love a 100 year old resource - Napoleon Hill (Think and Grow Rich) and his Master Mind concept. It is a marvelous idea to work with. I strongly recommend you take action if you are ever invited to join a master mind group. These concepts fit right in with Dynamic Transitioning.

"Analyze the record of any person who has accumulated great fortune, and many of those who have accumulated modest fortunes, and you will find that they have either consciously, or unconsciously employed the Master Mind principle." -- Napoleon Hill

The Master Mind™ Principle is a scientific method of focusing the power of thought for the specific purpose of establishing a direct connection with God, the Master Mind. Through the Master Mind™ Principle you combine your strength with that of at least one other person — as well as that of a Higher Power. The principle is based on an ancient premise that the combined energies of two or more like-minded persons is many, many times greater than the sum of the individual energies involved.

Career Transitions

Sociologists tell us that as life expectancy grows and retirement age is pushed out, individuals could easily have three 20 year careers in their lifetime. We're already seeing many with two 20 year careers in their lifetimes. And we know that the "lifetime" employment at the factory or firm is becoming a thing of the past. We're also seeing a "job hopping" trend among younger workers as they look for jobs that offer flexibility and quality of life.

Change is good, but it can put you off-center. One week the goal of advancement seems perfectly do able - then the doubt and fear sets in and suddenly it doesn't seem like such a good idea after all. Change is good, but if you feel like a leaf in the wind being tossed willy-nilly through life, it feels more like chaos.

I'm work with a number of people who are applying the Dynamic Transitioning program to their career. Dynamic Transitioning is about creating a foundation and operating with a clear vision of who you are and where you want to go.

I also believe people set goals too early in the process of their career transitions. This can be dangerous because if you DON'T achieve the goal, you feel like you've failed. Goal setting will become obvious whe you've prepared for it.

Point #1 Know Thyself. Your foundation begins with an accurate assessment of who you are as it relates to your career. We look at where you've been, where you are now, and where you want to go. We look at more than job titles and skills - we look at formal and informal networks and resources. We create a profile of your interpersonal history, your communication strategies, your branding. We build the Brand You.

Point # 2 Consider the Possibilities. Stretching your imagination is the next step. Many feel they are stuck. I hear this all the time. We go through a series of questions that can be very challenging and also fun at the same time. What is your ideal job? What is your ideal boss? What are your ideal co-workers. (Living or not) who would you want to have on your Board of Directors? If you were handed the title of CEO tomorrow, what are the top 10 things you would do? What is your ideal leisure activity? What would you do if you had more free time?

Point # 3 See Yourself Succeeding. The Law of Attraction comes into play here. Now that you can vision an job in an industry that works for you, you can begin sending out the mental images into the universe to attract the energy you need to make it happen. It really does seem to work like that. You see yourself in the job and lo and behold, the opportunity appears. You become ready to accept the good the job market wants to give you. You are clear about who you are and how you fit into the picture and the picture forms around you.

If we go no further than this, I promise that you that NOW your goals will be obvious because you have a foundation that you can build on. You are in a position of strength and power and will know what the next steps have to be to get where you want to go. You will have the vision and the staying power to achieve those goals.

DYNAMIC TRANSITIONING 7 Point Program

1. Know Thyself
The power of YOU. Who are you? What makes you happy? What makes you “light up”? In order to build a foundation you must understand the importance of knowing yourself. This is your life. Take the time to know your limits and boundaries. What would you do if you didn’t have to worry about money? How would you spend your time?

2. Consider the Possibilities

The power of BLUE SKY. Do you have an open mind? Oh, really…. Consider this: the power of dreaming, stretching, and reaching. How to get definite about your possibilities. The law of attraction. The power of possibility. Is ____________ (you fill in the blank) possible? You bet! Anything and everything is possible. Fly a plane, go to the moon, cure polio, climb a mountain, change a career, get married, have a family, etc.

3. See Yourself Succeeding

The power of VISIONING. Close your eyes. Picture your world the way you want it to be. What do you see, taste, smell, and hear? Who else is there? What are they doing? Now put yourself in the picture. See yourself closing the deal, signing payroll checks, trying on bride’s dresses, going to little league games, opening a business, getting applause from a group of your peers.

4. Plan the Work and Work the Plan

The power of ACTION. Enough of this “visioning” stuff – let’s DO something! Take the first thing on your Possibilities List and ask yourself, “What can I do today to move towards this picture of success?” Make a phone call? Write a business plan? Visit someone? Get into ACTION. GO DO IT.

5. Practice Flexibility
The power of RECALIBRATING. So, it doesn’t look exactly like the picture – you ended up starting a nursery school instead of a private boy’s school…OK, so what now? Sometimes growth and change come in unforeseen ways – many times even better than we expected. When the forces of the Universe guide us in a slightly different direction, don’t resist. There is power in going with the flow.

6. Giving Back
The power of GIVING. Nothing is more rewarding than giving back. Nothing hurries RECEIVING as rapidly as giving. The universal law is that what you give you get back tenfold. If you want a meaningful life you must do meaningful things. How to give back personally. How to give back professionally. What is your social responsibility? Get involved. Put the power of increase to work for you.

7. To Thine Own Self Be True

The power of SELF TRUTH. We come full circle. We started with knowing yourself – you cannot be true to yourself if you don’t know who you are. Your integrity has been defined through this journey. Your value is clear. You want a purposeful life. A LIFE FULL OF PURPOSE. A design for living. Be true to your values, religion or spiritual practice. Be true to your family and friends. Be true to your professional ethics. Be true to your purpose. Be true to your possibilities. Be true to your social responsibilities. Be true to your financial well-being.

Faith is a Mind Power

Faith is a mind power and you are using it all the time. Anything you have faith in can become a result in your life. Even a small amount of faith produces mighty results.

Faith is not something that has to do only with one's religious experiences. Faith is powerful because when you activate faith, you set into operation an energy that is thousands of times more powerful than electricity. That energy then contacts the universal energy and causes circumstances ad events to be created that make your goal possible.

Sound too easy? Think about it for a moment. When you truly believe in something, a power is activated. Something happens to you. You suddenly have the ability to believe without a doubt. You enter a state of consciousness wherein all things are possible.

That's because when faith becomes active in you something is stirred up that hastens the action ad produces results that ordinarily may have required much longer or might not have occurred at all.

This matter of faith works equally strong both ways. Negative people have faith - plenty of it - but i the wrong thing. Your attention is your faith. Whatever you are deeply convinced about, you have faith in. Whatever you expect ad prepare for, you have faith in. Center your attention on the good you expect from life and grow your spiritual understanding of faith by concentrating on all the good you already have. Speak kind words to those around you. Compliment others on their accomplishments. Believe that good is on its way to you and activate your faith.

If you want a meaningful life you must do meaningful things. How to give back personally. How to give back professionally. What is your social responsibility? Get involved. Put the power of increase to work for you.

Your Transitions Hold a Message for You

Here we are in Spring - nature's transition from cold and dark to warm and bright. The first green appears on the trees, the chirpping of the birds, the longer days. We observe the cycles of human life as they are played out in the pristine beauty of the natural world and take the opportunity to receive a message from the transitions we're experiencing.

It's been said that if you are seraching for a healing in your body you can "ask" your malady what it needs you to learn. This is a fascinating idea to work with. It is a version of "the problem holds the solution". I believe this. The trick is to tune into the answer and not impose our hopes or wishes on what that answer will be. The truth will set you free but it can be tricky to get to the truth.

Dynamic Transitioning offers guidance for the journey we are on from both an internal and an external viewpoint to prepare to not only survive transitions but gain power, insight, and peace from your transitions.

What message does your current transition hold for you? Are you being held back and limited in some way? How does one overcome the negative experiences in life? Begin by literally asking yourself and the divine wisdom in your transition or situation "What is the truth about this situation?" Most of the time limitation is about a limited view. Begin to think of the world as expansive and big. Look at your opportunities as big. Look on the world as a beautiful place to live, work, love, grow, play. Affirm this, "My life can be as wonderful as I want it to be." You'll be delighted at how this simple, delightful way of thinking will remove limitation and negativity.

Quiet clarity and mindfulness

Looking within and practicing mindfulness is key to building a good foundation to weather life's storms. It creates clarity of thinking - one of the most valuable gifts you can receive. I encourage you to look all around for inspiration and uplifting examples of how people do this.

Sometimes we find examples right in our own daily lives - somebody says something encouraging to you or pays you a compliment. Sometimes it's you who says the encouraging statement and by doing so, you feel better.

No matter what religious practice you use, seeking calm and serenity is helpful. One person I truly admirre is Thich Nhat Han. I like his work on mindfulness and peace. Become quiet and enjoy this brief meditation video:

Retreat

Religious/spiritual retreats allow time for reflection, prayer, or meditation. They are considered essential in Buddhism[1], and are also popular in many Christian churches, including evangelical Protestants, Roman Catholics and Anglicans. The term retreat has several related meanings, all of which have in common the notion of safety or temporarily removing oneself from one's usual environment. A retreat can be taken for reasons related to spirituality, stress, health, lifestyle, or social or ecological concerns. Increasingly, organizations hold retreats to focus board and staff members on key issues such as strategic planning, enhancing communication and collaboration, problem-solving and creative thinking. Wiki

My husband and I just returned from a couple's retreat we attend every year. We go to a beautiful place nestled in the Santa Ynez mountains in Southern California. We really enjoy the couples, the environment, the quiet, the time together.

I am grateful for the renewing and unfolding of my inner life that occurs during retreat weekends. It helps maintain a wholeness in my mind, body, and affairs. I encourage you to retreat from your daily life now and then and focus on your inner life. See yourself producing and receiving health, plenty, and peace in your life and the lives of those around you. If disappointment tries to sidetrack you along the way, meet it as best you can and just keep going. Learn from the present situations and return your vision on the picture of health, plenty and peace.
